Curio Birthday

Yesterday I spent some time cleaning up my craft room and putting away the Christmas stamps and paper.  It always feels good to start with a fresh slate, especially since we're approaching the new year.

My first project after Christmas is always my mom's birthday card, because she was born on January 1.  I felt like coloring so I pulled out one of my favorite images and combined it with these lovely papers from Basic Grey's Curio collection.

Happy Mother's Day

My mom grew up on a farm and has always enjoyed being outside. She even drove tractor for her dad when she became old enough.

This is a photo of her in the mid-1950s, sitting on the stone fireplace that Grampa built in their yard on the farm.

It's hard to believe that it's 2010 already. Seems like just yesterday we were worrying about the problems our computers would have dealing with the change from 1999 to 2000. It really is true that the older you get, the faster time seems to pass.
